Sorry to hear about your experience with anti-malarial medication, Helen. What you describe is a fairly common occurrence for travellers prescribed Lariam, especially for people heading to Africa. They are often not made aware by their doctor that these tablets may leave them with serious psychotic illnesses. Luckily, the side effects you experienced were short-lived, while for some, these adverse symptoms may continue indefinitely. I’m pretty much back to normal now, thank you. But I can never forget that feeling as if I was losing my mind. It leaves behind a remnant of fear. I’m glad you found the article useful. By the look of your success on Medium, I could use some advice. All the best. ☺️
